CATSEYE Flagship Outlet @Uttara is a contemporary fashion outlet designed by STUDIO|EXTENSION for the Bangladeshi pioneering life-style brand ‘Cats Eye’. Housed in an old residential building, the design idea was to convert the existing infrastructure into a contemporary sleek architecture that will strikingly contrast with the surroundings and will stand as a bold and inviting statement for the northern crowd of Dhaka city. Post-modernist architectural elements like concrete, glass, steel and wood have been juxtaposed in thematic manner along with playful usage of lighting and cladding to curve out something unique for the vicinity. Moreover, emphasis was given on making a soothing interior that will be a summation of both ‘Venustas’ and ‘Utilitas’.
